Stainless steel smoke box
Serve up the best barbecue of the summer in your outdoor kitchen with a stainless steel smoker box, designed for use with wood chips when grilling. It adds that extra smoky flavour to your food and makes it easy to introduce smoke – even in gas or electric grills. The smoker box is placed directly on the grill grates and allows the wood chips to smoulder rather than flare up.
With its spacious chamber, it holds enough chips for longer smoking sessions, while the hinged lid with ventilation holes helps distribute the smoke evenly and reduces flare-ups. The smoker box also contains ash, helping to keep your grill clean.
Smoking adds depth and flavour to grilled food. Different types of wood create different profiles – from the bold, spicy notes of mesquite and hickory to the milder, sweeter and more aromatic flavours of apple and cherry wood.
Instructions: Fill the smoker box with wood chips and place it in the grill, either on the grates or closer to the heat source, such as on the flame tamers in a gas grill. Light the grill and allow the chips to heat until smoke begins to fill the grill. If you are new to smoking, start with a small amount of chips (approx. 100 ml). For longer and more even smoke, soak the chips in water for around 30 minutes before use.
